American Sign Language and Deaf Studies
You should minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies if:
- You have a connection to or an interest in the Deaf community and Deaf culture.
- You want to become fluent in another language.
The American Sign Language and Deaf Studies minor program is intended for ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs of various disciplines who are interested in learning the fundamentals of ASL and enriching their knowledge of Deaf culture.
Program Requirements
For your minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies, you will need to complete 18 credits hours of ASL courses, with a minimum of 6 credit hours being at the 300 or 400 levels.
ASL 101 does not count towards the minor.
