Materials Engineering
You should minor in materials engineering if:
- You are an engineering major.
- You love chemistry, physics, and polymer science.
- You are interested in structures and the materials used in the manufacturing process.
The materials engineering minor is for engineering ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs who want to specialize in the research and development of materials and devices.
Through your classes, you'll get experience designing and processing polymers, nanomaterials, biomaterials, and smart construction materials.
Program Requirements
To earn your minor in materials engineering, you must be an engineering major.
To complete a minor in materials engineering, you will need to take 18 credits hours of relevant courses. Up to 12 hours can be counted toward your major engineering curriculum.

Each minor requires you to complete a minimum of 18 hours in the specialized area while completing your degree within one of our current engineering or industrial technology programs.
