The ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at Lafayette will host a Freshman Fair on Saturday, Aug. 21 to prepare ninth-grade ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs attending ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ colleges and universities in the of Fall 2014.
The event is to inform these high school ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs and their parents about the changing college admissions requirements that will affect ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs graduating high school in 2014.
Representatives from the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Board of Regents will discuss admissions requirements for all ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ state colleges and universities. A representative from the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Office of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Financial Assistance will discuss TOPS requirements.
ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs will also be able to visit with college and university representatives from across the state for more specific information.
The Freshman Fair is free and all upcoming high school freshmen are encouraged to attend.
Check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. in the UL Lafayette ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Union, and the event concludes at 11:45 a.m. ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs interested in participating should RSVP by calling (337) 482-5923 or sending an email with name and contact information to freshmanfair@louisiana.edu.
