The ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ at Lafayette will host a Freshman Fair on Saturday, Aug. 21 to prepare ninth-grade ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs attending ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ colleges and universities in the of Fall 2014.
The event is to inform these high school ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs and their parents about the changing college admissions requirements that will affect ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs graduating high school in 2014.
Representatives from the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Board of Regents will discuss admissions requirements for all ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ state colleges and universities. A representative from the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Office of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Financial Assistance will discuss TOPS requirements.
ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs will also be able to visit with college and university representatives from across the state for more specific information.
The Freshman Fair is free and all upcoming high school freshmen are encouraged to attend.
Check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. in the UL Lafayette ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Union, and the event concludes at 11:45 a.m. ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs interested in participating should RSVP by calling (337) 482-5923 or sending an email with name and contact information to freshmanfair@louisiana.edu.
