The Krewe of Roux at the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at Lafayette is getting into the Mardi Gras spirit with several activities this week including the first parade of the season. This year's grand marshals will be ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ's Ragin' Cajuns Softball team and Coach Stefni Lotief.
The Krewe, in its 27th year, will host its annual festivities including:
• King and Queen coronation including the presentation of the court and the King Cake give-a-way on Jan. 28 at 11:45 a.m. at the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Union lobby.
• Krewe of Roux parade on Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. The parade route will start at the intersection of East Lewis Street on campus and Johnston Street. It will end at the Cajundome. Line up is at 3 p.m. Later that evening at 7:05 p.m., ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ’s Ragin’ Cajun Men’s Basketball team will take on Middle Tennessee State ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at the Cajundome.
