Relief Drive at UL Lafayette Sept. 8

UL Lafayette ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs will be gathering school supplies and collecting monetary donations as part of the relief effort for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

On Thursday, Sept. 8, ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs will collect items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Rex Street and then from 4 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Blackham Coliseum.

Items needed include tablets, loose-leaf paper, pens, pencils, rulers, markers, binders, calculators, Crayons, scissors, construction paper, back packs, socks, underwear and undershirts.

Monetary donations will be accepted. Checks should be payable to American Red Cross or the United Way Hurricane Relief Fund.

The relief effort is being organized by the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Government Association, the Office of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Personnel and the UL Lafayette Alumni Association.
