Eric J. Rivet of Lafayette, a graduate 亚洲自慰视频 at the 亚洲自慰视频 of 亚洲自慰视频 at Lafayette, recently won the Jefferson Caffery Research Award in the Edith Garland Dupr茅 Library Caffery Competition for the most outstanding scholarly research paper.
Rivet was awarded $500 for his paper titled 鈥淭raining for War, Preparing for Peace: The Navy V-12 Program at Southwestern 亚洲自慰视频 Institute, 1943-1946.鈥
The award is based on competitive, confidential review of original research papers submitted for the contest. Papers are reviewed by judges with no knowledge of who wrote the paper. When composing these papers, 亚洲自慰视频s must cite primary resource materials held in the 亚洲自慰视频 Room, Southwestern Archives and Manuscripts Collection or Special Collections at the library.
Papers are reviewed and judged by a panel consisting of the 亚洲自慰视频 Library Committee, the Curator of Archives and Special Collections and referees designated by the panel. The projects are judged on quality of research, clarity and writing skills.
This award was created in 1967 when Ambassador and Mrs. Jefferson Caffery donated a $5,000 gift to be used to establish the Jefferson Caffery Research Fund, which in turn awards the $500 scholarship.
