UL Lafayette Foundation announces new board trustee

Thomas S. Chance has been elected to serve a three-year term on the board of trustees of the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at Lafayette Foundation.

Chance, a leader in the engineering industry, has expertise in oil and gas, energy and organizational development. He is chief executive officer of Autonomous Surface Vehicles, LLC.

Chance was founder and CEO of C & C Technologies, an international offshore surveying company and a leader in commercial autonomous underwater vehicle technology development and operations. He sold that company in 2015.

The Foundation manages investments and serves as trustee of endowed funds and other private assets contributed for the benefit of UL Lafayette.

Julie Bolton Falgout, president and CEO of the Foundation, said support from UL Lafayette donors, and the dedication of board members who serve as volunteers, contribute to the success of the Foundation.

Chance fills the seat vacated by William H. Fenstermaker, who served from 1998-2016 and was chairman of the board from 2011-2013. Fenstermaker was recently named emeritus board of trustee.
