The AmeriCorps of UL Lafayette, in conjunction with the Paul and Lulu Hilliard ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Art Museum, is now scheduling schools and classes for this spring's Writing in the Galleries project.
Writing in the Galleries offers children in grades 1-12 the opportunity to visit the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Art Museum and engage in a series of arts-based literacy activities that address grade-specific language arts benchmarks. This program is available to teachers and ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs throughout the region.
A Learn and Serve grant form the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ System makes this programming available at no cost to all elementary schools in Vermilion Parish and select elementary schools in Lafayette Parish. For more information or to schedule a tour, call 337-482-6060 or email wig2007@gmail.com
