Zydeco brunch to kick off football fun with food, music

The ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at Lafayette will host a zydeco brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, in the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Union’s Cypress Lake Dining Room. The event will feature live music by the Angelle Aces.

On the menu: crab and corn chowder, herbed breadsticks, jambalaya, scrambled eggs with cheese and chives, fried boudin balls, red velvet pancakes with cream cheese drizzle, buttered grits, potatoes O’Brien, buttermilk biscuits, spinach Alfredo, crawfish queso, green beans, herb roasted baby carrots, black pepper Parmesan cornbread, and salad bar.

After the brunch, diners can take a free shuttle to and from Cajun Field for the football game versus McNeese State.

Brunch tickets are $12.99 per adult and $6.99 for children between the ages of 4 and 8. Children 3 and under eat for free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Zydeco brunches will also be held in conjunction with all remaining home football games: Sept. 17, South Alabama; Oct. 12, Appalachian State; Nov. 5, Idaho (Homecoming); and Nov. 26, Arkansas State.
